Emma Shay is the kind of performer who makes it look effortless, because for her, it kind of is. In this interview, Emma talks about her first porn set experience, her excitement for her very first AVN, the performers and studios on her wishlist, and so much more.
How did you first get into the adult industry?
Emma Shay: I first just started by myself, doing random fetishes and photoshoots for fun when I had time. Then, when the COVID shutdown happened, I lost my job and decided to just focus on adult content. On twitter not too long after, a Scoreland model recruiter messaged me and got me a shoot set up with them!
What was your first experience on a porn set like?
It was so amazing! I just felt like a brand new person. Not shy anymore, not nervous, just everything I dreamt of! They were so happy that they didn’t have to tell me how to pose and barely told me what to do.
What was it like filming your scene with Harper Madison & Oliver Flynn in Work Me Harder 6?
That was by far the coolest set location! I couldn’t believe I was in an art studio with such a chill group of people, filming porn! They were both so nice and easy to work with as well, and even the extras were so cool. Just having extras on a set was just like something I never thought about, and it was so exciting!
What was your favorite class in school?
Art class! I love being creative!
What are you looking forward to most about attending this year’s AVN?
This is going to be my first AVN, so I’m really excited for just the whole experience! Meeting some fans, seeing others I’ve worked with before, and meeting other porn stars I’ve been inspired by!
Are there any stars or studios you’d like to work with in the future?
Oh my god, so many! I would love to work with Blake Blossom and/or Gigi Sweets because I think we would be so hot together; I mean, natural blondes with big titties? I think guys would love that. Some studios I’d love to work with would be Brazzers, Adult Time, Bang Bros, Vixen, and so many more!
What are some things you’d like to see change within the industry?
I would love to see more rotation and diversity in the male and female talent that is used on mainstream sites, and who wins the awards. Not that the performers who win all the time don’t deserve it, but some other people should have a chance too.
What’s your favorite kind of custom content to film?
I love filming solo customs because I don’t have to worry about testing and people’s schedules. Although it is much more fun to work with someone else! Then I love filming tittyfucks and a sex scene!
How do you approach choosing your scene partners or planning the kind of content you want to make?
I definitely go by what the fans want to see, or what I haven’t done in a while/never have done! For scene partners, I’m looking for someone respectful who has really chill vibes! If I reach out or they do, it has to be a clear intention that you want to collab and both create an awesome scene that works for both of you.
Do you have any upcoming projects that you’re excited about?
I am excited in general to do more cosplay projects! I love anime and video games, and I feel like I can finally make better quality cosplay vids soon!
