SCREW PUBLISHER PRESENTS
PARODOKE!
The First-Ever Fill-In-The-Blanks Karaoke Game

JERSEY CITY — Parodoke, a new fill-in-the-blanks karaoke game, has launched for free online, inviting players to pick a genre, choose a song, answer a series of prompts, and sing the resulting lyrical trainwreck with pride, volume, and very little legal dignity.

Created by SCREW publisher and media misfit Phil Italiano, Parodoke turns a classic Mad Libs-style concept into a karaoke-ready party game. Instead of handing players a finished parody, Parodoke asks them for nouns, verbs, adjectives, names, places, body parts, beverages, questionable life choices, and other lyrical ingredients. The site then drops those answers into song-shaped templates built to preserve the original rhythm and singability while creating a brand-new comic version.

“Parodoke is karaoke after somebody spilled a Mad Libs book into the jukebox,” said Autelitano. “You don’t need to be a singer. You don’t need to be clever. In fact, clever may hurt you. You just need to answer the prompts and then have the courage to sing whatever monster you helped create.”

The game currently features categories including Love Songs, Pop Songs, and Classic Rock Songs, with additional categories such as Country and Rap planned. Each Parodoke song includes a mysterious title, custom cover art, and prompt-driven lyrics designed for maximum surprise when the final song is revealed.

Unlike traditional parody karaoke, Parodoke is built around user participation. Players do not simply read a joke. They accidentally assemble one. A romantic ballad can become an emotional farewell to a sandwich. A rock anthem can collapse into a legal deposition with a guitar solo. A sacred chorus can become three names shouted at a family reunion.

Visitors can play instantly with no sign-up, no download, and no app store required.

Autelitano says the project has been bouncing around his head in one form or another for more than 25 years.

“I’ve had versions of this idea forever,” he said. “It needed the web to catch up, and it needed me to stop overthinking it. The prototype is live now, and the goal is to keep adding songs, improve the mobile experience, and eventually bring Parodoke to the Apple App Store and Google Play.”

The project is currently seeking early users, feedback, song suggestions, and support for expanded development. Planned upgrades include more songs, a stronger mobile app experience, social sharing tools, community features, and creator-friendly songsmithing documentation for building new Parodoke templates.

“Right now, the best thing people can do is play it, share it, and send it to the funniest person they know,” said Autelitano. “Or the least funny person they know. Honestly, the game may work better that way.”
